James G. Pearson was born in Middlesbrough, England, to his historian father and his psychotherapist mother, and moved to Bath, England, in 1996, growing up in very different regions of the country. He traveled around Australia in 2011 and Thailand in 2012, and experienced much of Europe growing up. During his adventures, the story for "The Kingmaker Saga", started to grow before he eventually began to write it. In 2012 he joined National Novel Writing Month, using it to propell his writing and complete the first book in his series, "The Kingmaker".Having grown up with a huge interest in history and -- in particular -- mythology. He found his interest grew around the mythology of the Greeks, Romans, Japanese and Norse. With the mythology came an interest in the warriors of those nations, the tricks to their skills and the codes that they lived by, many of which have inspired him.
