Is a killer a monster if they only kill bad people? What would you do to keep your child from thinking bad thoughts, from fully embracing the sociopath that he or she is? In book 2 John talks about his "Monster" and basically the rules he and his mother have made to keep him from going off the dee...

I think I liked this a little bit more than the first of the series. Hard to explain why, but there you have it. It's interesting to hear the voice of a protagonist who you simultaneously like and dislike and I definitely look forward to finding out what the future will bring for John.

By the end of I Am Not a Serial Killer John Cleaver, teen psychopath with a heart of gold, had allowed himself to unleash the monster within just long enough to defeat the demon that had been plaguing John's small hometown. As Mr. Monster opens, six months later, John has been working extra hard--wi...

I'm so glad I've already got the third book in this trilogy! I'm really enjoying the story of John Wayne Cleaver, budding serial killer (maybe) and likely sociopath. Wells is doing an excellent job of creating a strong, sympathetic character to fascinate the reader.

I was really hoping s/he would be gone when the abandoned building burned, or at least that he would let the cat go.It was interesting seeing thi...

I finally finished this book!!After four months of laying around, I picked it up again and finally read through it.I read like the half of it in February and then picked it up again two days ago.And after I've read three chapters the day before yesterday, the action already started and I almost read...

So I Am Not a Serial Killer had that abrupt turnaround that put off everyone and disrupted the flow of the book. Get over it. It was still a very creative story that managed to turn a creepy kid into a 15 year old antihero for our ambivalent generation. The secret is out for number two of the trilog...

Mr. Monster finds John and Mom trying to move on from the events in I Am Not A Serial Killer. He's killed one demon and now has a mission. But, he is having some serious trouble NOT killing his 'wish she could'a been my girlfriend' friend, Brooke. While his way of hunting down this book's serial ...
