A hard book to rate. It was such a compelling star-crossed lovers story that I could forgive the sometimes plodding writing, except that over and over, it disappointed me. There would be such a wonderful build up of interest and suspense, but the resolution almost always fell short of my expectation...
I've never really been one for westerns, but holy cow...I'd take a cowboy like Darby Elder any day!
