Maybe 3.5? The book is what it says: a coming-of-age story and as such it is perfectly fine. I missed a bit more background and historical world-building information and a certain issue was a little too conveniently hand-waved in favour of a nice ending. Also, I couldn't quite take Aleksey completely...

The writing is good and very vivid. The trigger warnings are very real.

This book was unexpected and I love it. I tried it once and dropped it because spelling mistakes. I got word that an edited edition was available and it made all the difference in the world! Love it! I fanned myself so much because Aleksey! Don't read if you don't like descriptive sex scenes.

I love this book. I thought it'd be too graphic, but it's good. I'd love a sequel but it's a true stand-alone.

It was good. Some parts of it were a little confusing. I didn't quite understand that virgin was an insult. I get that it meant that you could be recruited but why would it be an insult? Shouldn't you just feel sorry for that person? I don't get it. The women were calling each other virgins like...

*I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*2.5 stars. It was all rather dark and sexually violent--and not in the good way of dark romances. I loved the romance aspect of it, the one between Lila/Lily and Aleksy. It was so sweet at times! The other bits just seemed...
