While I was in the middle of reading Naked Heat, I suddenly had the urge to finally pick up Castle and see what it was all about. After marathoning the first three seasons, I’m delighted to report that I thoroughly enjoyed the television series that this Nikki Heat book series is based off of. And I...

There's something about this series. It's not the best one I've read but I find it really engaging. Both the investigation and how it plays out throughout and the on/off thing between Jameson and Nikki. I'm definitely interested in continuing the series.

Even worse than the first book. As all Richard Castle books I've been looking forward to it so much, and yet struggling to get through it since the day it came out. Very disappointing :(The Nikki Heat books are much, much more amusing.

The review I left on Heat Wave applies to all books in the series. They are much of a muchness - that isn't a complaint!

I read this series of three novellas in completely the wrong order. Yet they were still enjoyable and the Derrick Storm character is quite charming, whilst also annoying, just like the Ric Castle character from the TV series.

I think Cassidy Towne is a great character. I loved the way Jameson's relationship with her brought her to life, even though she had never been a living character in the book. We saw her and felt her and knew her, without having to be introduced to her character in any other way than with an inves...
