Had to finish Alex series. Kinda surprised by the deeper themes in this book.Glad Alex found his happy and somewhat interesting closure with James and Anne.
I was torn between a 3 and 4 star rating. Writing is, as always, awesome, but I just don't like Alex Kennedy and his messy relationships. Really like Olivia, loved her story, and I wanted her to find happiness with someone else. :(
A beautiful after story from another of Megan Hart's [b:Tempted|1861535|Tempted|Megan Hart|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348311010s/1861535.jpg|1862221]. A story about Alex's nest journey in finding love and self-exploration. This story is full of religious views and sexuality, which in my opinion i...
So, Megan Hart's books need to be read in the order that she wrote them. I was unaware of that when I read this one. It's not as good as [b:Dirty|845150|Dirty|Megan Hart|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327888555s/845150.jpg|1416857], and I did not love when characters from that book popped into this...
I think I might have liked this a lot more if I hadn't read Tempted. I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't more depth to Alex. The big finale and confrontation was kind of slowly, horribly devastating in a very realistic and familiar way (um, kudos?) - even though I think it was only perceive...
I will admit I spent most of this book wondering what the deal was with Alex Kennedy. Olivia Mackey is a photographer. She meets Alex Kennedy at her ex/now BFF's house for a holiday party. Actually she doesn't officially meet him until the next morning. BFF gives her a cryptic warning to stay awa...
I can't complain too much about this book because it delivered everything I wanted out of the book, but the ending was incredibly flat. The book just...ended. There was barely even a climax. I also would have liked to see Patrick get his ass kicked, figuratively. What a little bitch.I did like seen ...
I have to decide if I want to try more Megan Hart. In Naked, the female main character, Olivia, was half-black, adopted into a half-Jewish, half-Catholic white home. At the age of 5, her parents split and both turned back to their faiths, which left her feeling guilty for attempting to embrace eithe...
This is my favorite of Megan Hart's books thus far. Olivia and Alex are realistically painted; two believable, nuanced adults embarking on a new relationship. Their personal lives are about as complicated as can be, and if anything tested my credulity it was their respective pasts. That, and what...
I really should have stuck with my gut on this one because I didn't like the 1st book but I was curious. You know the saying, "curiosity killed the cat" and it sure did kill me. The story was told from Olivia's POV which was interesting. She was a complex character and I was anxious to see how she a...
