Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Nan Weber was encouraged by her family to pursue the creative bent that helped her achieve self expression and overcome a natural shyness. Ms. Weber graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1976 with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre. She studied under Claude Woolman in Minneapolis at the Institute for Professional Actor Training. She enjoys both stage and film acting. While in Minneapolis Ms. Weber worked with a woman's collective where an interest in writing original theatre pieces took root.In addition to writing first person theatrical scripts she is also the author of a book entitled "Mattie, A Woman's Journey West" which is the life story of a woman who is buried in Yellowstone National Park. "Singing in the Saddle, the Life and Times of Yellowstone Chip," a biography about dude wrangler and entertainer Chip Samuell is now available on Amazon.Another project on the front burner is in collaboration with her sister Georgia Weber, about the life of Maria Virginia Slade, wife of the notorious Jack Slade. Ms. Weber also has several screenplays written and is currently working on two more.Ms. Weber lives in Salt Lake City and is married to musician Paul Boruff.
