Nanette Rayman-Rivera was born and raised in Boston. Her memoir, "to live on the wind" chronicles a story of a mother who is incapable of love. It is a story of existential and physical homelessness, the New York City homeless shelter and public housing system. It is a scathing, lyrical book about what politicians, including President Clinton and Mayor Bloomberg, really do to the poor who are poor through no fault of their own - how they are lumped in with the drug dealers, ex-cons and various miscreants and never allowed to be brought back to real life in a humane way. Chapters of this book were nominated for the Pushcart Prize, won the Glass Woman Prize, and are included in DZANC Best of the Web Anthology 2010. Nanette is published in 90 literary journals and has two poetry books published: "shana linda ~ pretty pretty" by Scattered Light Publications and "Project: Butteflies" by Foothills Publishing.Nanette studied theatre at The New England Shakespeare Festival, Circle in the Square, The Michael Howard Studios and the Gene Frankel Studios. She has performed in off off Broadway, Caffe Lena Theatre in Saratoga Springs, independent films, including "Stephan's Silver Bell" and played a waitress on All My Children.

Some great stuff in here. I particularly liked the Chris Bachelder story, and the poem "Contemplations of the Saints."
