Scholar and Historian Nasim Yousaf comes from a famous political family of Pakistan; he is a grandson of the late, prominent political leader Allama Mashriqi (whose book Tazkirah was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature) and a nephew of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Akhtar Hameed Khan (who pioneered microcredit/microsavings). Mr. Yousaf has thus far published 15 books and compiled 19 digital files of rare and historical documents. He has contributed pieces to prestigious peer-reviewed journals in the USA, including Harvard Asia Quarterly, World History Encyclopedia, and Education About Asia. He has also presented papers at conferences in the US and his articles have appeared in newspapers in many countries around the world.Along with his works on Dr. Akhtar Hameed Khan, a primary focus of Mr. Yousaf's research is Allama Mashriqi and the Khaksar Movement's role in the independence of British India. Mr. Yousaf's knowledge of Mashriqi comes from extensive research on the topic as well as discussions with Mashriqi's sons and daughters (who were part of the struggle), other family members, and Mashriqi's followers and admirers. As a grandson of Allama Mashriqi, Mr. Yousaf also had the honor of observing Mashriqi from a close distance; he saw Mashriqi at many key moments: addressing crowds, receiving adoration from the masses, being placed behind bars and under house-arrest, and during his last days. Mr. Yousaf also was with Mashriqi's body during Mashriqi's funeral procession.Among Mr. Yousaf's most notable works on Mashriqi is a digital compilation of the rare and historic "Al-Islah" newspaper, which was founded by Mashriqi in British India in 1934. This newspaper is extremely important to the study of the liberation of the Indian sub-continent and emergence of Pakistan and India in 1947. Other notable works by the author include his books entitled "Mahatma Gandhi & My Grandfather, Allama Mashriqi: A Groundbreaking Narrative of India's Partition" and "Hidden Facts Behind British India's Freedom: A Scholarly Look into Allama Mashraqi and Quaid-e-Azam's Political Conflict". These books were the first to analyze and compare the politics of Mashriqi with these prominent South Asian leaders.Collectively, Mr. Yousaf's works have influenced the historical record of the Indian sub-continent and have added new dimensions to the freedom movement of Pakistan and India. His works on Allama Mashriqi and the Khaksar Movement are a vital resource for faculty members, researchers, journalists, students, film/documentary producers, and anyone interested in learning about Allama Mashriqi's pivotal role in bringing freedom to British India. Mr. Yousaf's works have compelled historians to revisit the history of the region and correct the distorted historical record. As a result of his efforts, Mr. Yousaf has been featured by a publication of the Independent Book Publishers Association (USA) and previously in Marquis Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America. His fan page on Facebook (URL given below) receives thousands of visits every month (according to a Facebook report, the author received 100,000+ visits on his fan page between April and November of 2012). And in 2015, Mr. Yousaf's books will be exhibited at book fairs in London (April), New York (May), San Francisco (June), and Frankfurt (October). To learn more about Mr. Yousaf and his works, visit the following resources on the internet:* https://www.scribd.com/AMZPublications* https://www.scribd.com/NasimYousaf* https://www.facebook.com/nasimyousaf.26* http://independent.academia.edu/NasimYousaf
