Wow! Janie was such a cool character. And her friends. What a great group of ladies, perfect safety net for a person who didn't feel so confident in social situations. This book made me giggle and laugh. Really enjoyed the whole story. Need to read more Penny Reid books.
Janie's life isn't quite what she'd hoped it would be. She'd like to be an architect, but instead she's an accountant at an architectural firm. Her boyfriend Jon is...okay. Perfectly nice and very well off, but otherwise just okay. But Janie knows she's no prize herself (even though her friends repe...
4.5 starsOmg this was just what I needed. After living through a hurricane (Harvey) then a horrendous downpour for 4 days, 52" of water and city devastation I needed some mental relief. Penny Reid was my choice and I picked well. Her characters are always completely engaging, the story always fun wi...
This was my 3rd re-read of the book that started it all. The book that started my love of "quirky-smart-sassy-fun-mysterious" characters.I really enjoyed this re-readI absolutely adore Penny Reid's characters, writing style and voice (I've kinda become a huge Penny Reid fan/stalker since reading thi...
I liked the characters. He's awesome. She's goofy...and awesome. :) The storyline has a couple of really good plot changes. Overall, it's a win for me.
4.5 starsI battled a lot with rating 5 or 4 but that fact that it was free and got me so excited about it pushed it over the hump but this is a very solid 4.5.There are numerous great reviews for this book, this won't be one of them. What follows isn't a critical take on the story and characters but...
Janie Morris and Quinn Sullivan meet in the building they both work in. She and her friend spy on him and call him "Hottie McHotpants." He is actually the owner of several businesses and has noticed her as well. The next time they see one another is Janie's WORST DAY EVER! She broke up with her...
I loved this one! I loved Janie's voice, her inner monologues, her coping, her sense of humor and also her courage. The whole novel is in her POV, except the epilogue. She is a really, really cool heroine. I loved Quinn, the hot guy, Janie kind of stalks and finally meets. He is HOT. And interes...
I actually read book #4, Beauty & the Mustache which I adored, first in this series. I loved it. So of course I must read the others! This is the story of Janie, who has a bit of a photographic memory. She knows all kinds of facts about all kinds of subjects. As the story starts, Janie has broken...
