I liked Winnefred so much, I gave this book a fourth star. I'm a sucker for an independent heroine and Ms. Johnson's narrative style was engaging enough that I'm eagerly anticipating her December release An Unexpected Gentleman.
Excellent historical romance - my first from Johnson, but I'll definitely seek out more of her books.
