I only knew Nescio from his famous work Titaantjes, but apparently he has written several short stories, of which "De uitvreter" is the oldest. Although I wasn't really amazed by the quality of the text, it was amusing to read for as long as it lasted (a mere 46 pages). The outdated language didn't ...
