Meh. I agree with much of his politics and got a handful of chuckles out of it. This is pretty old so most of it is very much out of date - I thought this was the newer book when I borrowed it from the library. That'll teach me to pay closer attention. New Rules works as a segment on Maher's television show but not lumped into a book or audio format with nothing else. Constant "new rule" after "new rule" became tiresome and the tone of the book was rather bitter overall. So instead of being funny, as it is on TV, it was a mad rant from an angry gu...
I like Bill Maher. I like his humor and I like his politics. So I was looking forward to reading something by him. The humor in this book did not disappoint me but it had a problem a lot of these books by comedians has. It reads like excerpts from his stand-up routine. For that, it deserves at least...
