Interesting stuff, humorous at times, but not nearly as good as what we have come to expect from Michael Crichton.
Crichton did a great job with Next. It wasn't my favorite novel by him, that would probably be Jurassic Park, but he did a great job building on what he started with JP highlighting some of the power and dangers of genetics.

While I'm sure genetics are not the end all be all that the media and science sometime portray it as, I'm equally sure it's not as bad as Chricton depicted.
