I received my PhD in educational psychology from UCLA in 1970 and had a practice in clinical psychology in Lewisburg, PA for 25 years. In 2007 I discovered ecstatic trance from the writing of Felicitas Goodman and since then I have practices ecstatic trance and it has become a central in my writing. I have offered workshops on ecstatic trance around the country and have a regular monthly workshop here in Central Pennsylvania. My years of experience with hypnosis and now ecstatic trance show me the way to reconnect with our ancient hunter-gatherer ancestors and with all life of the Earth around us. Many people recognize the great turmoil that exists today on Earth and that change does not occur without such turmoil. It is important for us to recognize that this chaos we see in the world around us is the death throes of the world of war and violence, the world of greed and consumption. Ervin Laszlo and Kingsley Dennis, authors of "Dawn of the Akashic Age," give us until the year 2020 for this period of turmoil to pass. If our species survives this time of transition, we will find a new world of peace, a world that again can sustain us, a world where we venerate our Great Earth Mother. The ways of the hunter-gatherers, those who lived in unity with the Earth, can show us the way and we can access their wisdom through ecstatic trance. I have hope.
