Not my cup of tea, and rather a disappointment as I do like Nick Cave.
As much as I like Nick Cave's music (Murderous Ballads, anyone), I'll have to give this 3 stars.
I'm a Cavewoman through and through, that said, I tend to prefer Nick Cave's lyrics to his books. And the Ass Saw the Angel is dark and gruesome, and sure to offend some readers, but as with Cave's Murder Ballads, there is a uneasy beauty within this dark and twisted tale.
