After qualifing, I did what most of the young apprentices did, and joined the merchant navy glory days............. After 5 years in the Navy I came ashore and started to climbed the Corporate ladder with Blue Chip Companies,in the UK and Overseas, and in 1988 I was able to buy my first business, and in 1990 my Company was the fisrt into Russia, the rest is now History. While in Russia the long dark nights one either took to the local habit of getting drunk on Vodka or doing something meaningful with your time, so I thought I could write about my experiences in a Fictional way this is where The Baltic Triangle Codename Seaforth came from, I hope it is one of five books I have in my head,!!!! It will be in the shops just after Christmas, thats if the Publishers keep to their word.My first Book The Baltic Triangle "Codename Seaforth" will be available from January 2011 The Baltic Triangle "Codename Seaforth" has now been put into a Film Script and we are working to get the project off the ground. My second book "Deadly States" is now out, you can check out the video on YouTube "Deadly States Trailer" its also on Kindle and Paperback. DEADLY STATES REVIEWDeadly States is the latest novel from Nicolas Clark, the author of Baltic Triangle: Operation Seaforth. A narrative that weaves in countless twists and turns begins with a brief back story. We find our idealistic and maverick hero Jack Malaney undercover in the IRA at the height of the troubles. He's just helped to avert an attack and is faced with having to think fast if he is to stop his cover from being blown. Without giving too much away, his solution is typically unorthodox.Fast forward to the nineties and Jack is in South Africa not long after the transition to democracy. He's undercover at a large engineering firm and involved in the political power struggles going on there as global players attempt to 'carve up the pie' of a newly accessible South Africa. But it's not long before Jack's past experiences in Ireland come back to haunt him. He learns that an IRA delegation is on its way to South Africa to learn the art of Statesmanship from the ANC, who it turns out the IRA had previous helped train in terror tactics. Jack finds himself in the difficult position of needing to win over an old friend-turned-enemy in order to stop hardliners derailing the Irish peace process. All while he's treading the minefield of the corrupt South African political situation. Deadly States is a thrilling tale of intrigue and subterfuge but it isn't afraid to get stuck in. Clark's no nonsense style pulls no punches. From the first chapter we're straight into the action and there's no letting up. All in all, it's a cracking thriller that you won't want to put down.
