Picking up Nick Cole's CTRL-ALT-REVOLT!, I was instantly hooked from the first line, which promised a "robots take over the world" type plot, but with a sense of humor. The author follows through on that promise, giving us an adventure of Thinking Machine versus Human, complete with assassins, gamer...

Books or art in general can some times have the sole purpose of making the reader/viewer giving an exit door from some mundane reality and getting lost - in the best sense - in what they already agree with or love. CTRL-ALT-REVOLT is clearly a gamer novel of the noir kind, but it has its best moment...

There are so many books and stories about an apocalypse - with every book having its own idea on what the apocalypse will be - but not many books mention our four-legged or winged friends. When you think about this, it's strange, since I know so many people who consider their pets to be family membe...

Nick Cole made me cry. I admit I´m a crier. As opposed of being a whiner, now that´s a whole different animal. True, I´ve cried over the years over some dudes, but let´s be honest here, they weren´t worth crying over. Nick Cole however... yeap, I would cry over him any day now, especially after havi...

As it has to be for a collection like Tales Of Tinfoil some of the usual suspects make an appearance. JFK, Elvis, Hitler or Area 51. It seems to be a necessary evil, which is no evil at all, but a pretty damn fun thing, to include those as no conspiracy would be indeed a conspiracy without them. Due...

Nope, we are definitely not in Kansas anymore. Legal disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of ´Texocalypse Now´ by one of the authors, Michael Bunker. The most amazing thing is that Texocalypse Now was actually written by two people. At the beginning I sort of "knew" which parts where writte...

Now that was WYRD. The first thing that came to mind when starting to read The Red King was that it has a The Stand feeling. While I´m not quite certain of the purpose of the opening prologue, I have a feeling we´ll see more of The Raggedy Man quite soon. Now if this isn´t a major player in the weir...

This was like a book about a book. The description is accurate in that it is a mix of The Old Man and the Sea and The Road, only it not nearly as good as either of those.

This was a 99 cent buy off of Amazon, and it had a lot of positive reviews. It had an interesting portrayal of a post-apocalyptic world and made references to Hemmingway's Old Man and the Sea (which I haven't actually read). However, I like my books to have more dialogue and the pacing really crawle...
