Nicola Lees has worked in the television industry - in London and New York - for more than fifteen years. She has developed documentaries, docudramas, multiplatform and reality programmes for network and cable channels, including the BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4 and Channel 5 in the UK and Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, National Geographic and TLC in the USA.Nicola has been directly involved in researching, writing or pitching more than 80 commissioned programmes, including Earth: Power of the Planet, Take One Museum, The Guinea Pig Club and Desperate Midwives, and has consulted for international producers of TV and theatrical documentaries.She's the founder and editor of tvmole.com, is a regular tutor and speaker, and currently runs a mentoring scheme for Women in Film & Television.Nicola has moderated industry panels at BAFTA and Sheffield Doc/Fest and served on juries for the prestigious Women in Film & TV Awards and Northern Nights Film Festival. She's a regular attendee at documentary festivals such as IDFA and TV conferences such as the Media Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival and RealScreen in Washington DC.
