There was so much potential to the beings and the world Lara Adrian introduced in this short story. If it had been a full-length book, it might have been awesome. I thought that the world and initial introduction to the story were great. An excellent hook and a very promising potential story. Unfortunately the romance story line was forced and unconvincing, leading to a very weak conclusion to a promising story.
