I've read the book few years back. And I haven't read the sequel because I was irritated by Shay. Calla had been so shallow. Ren fascinates me, I hope he deserves a better spot in the story.
While I liked the concept of Guardians and Keepers, I couldn't quite make myself to like the characters.
