Janet is hoping to just have a mundane life but of course that would never happen. Ansel a nighwalker (vampire) may or may not have killed his friend Laura, while Ansel is trying to fit the pieces of the story together the hunters have come to end Ansel's existence. Of course Janet cannot allow this...
3.5/5; 4 stars; B+I really enjoye this series and find each book to be a little different, with interesting twists on the magic system, the gods, and the culture. I like the various bits of Native lore that are woven into the story. Mick and Janet are a great couple and they are developing quite a...
I still really enjoying this series, but the books are going a bit downhill in quality. Such a bummer.
The first half of this book seemed really slow for some reason, but the second half (or so) only took an hour to read. I guess the last half was more action and less trying to figure out was going on.

My love for this series and the chaotic misadventures of Janet Begay just keeps growing! This time the stakes are raised to the point Janet almost seems destined to fail but once again she prevails and all is as it should be. These tales are getting better and better and this one hit all the right n...

Her tenant in the basement, a Nightwalker (vampire) Ansel has slayers after him for the bounty his girlfriend's sister put on him for killing her. Problem is no one can locate the body and determine if she's really dead an...

4.5 starsFirst of all, I need to say this. This book is released by the author (self-published) after the previous three books were released by Berkley (an imprint of Penguin). I don't know how she was able to do it, I mean, wasn't there contract for this series? Whatever the case, considering that ...
