A very silly book that has Roald Dahl written all over it. Very entertaining with a little moral thrown in. This is a pretty quick read. I liked the descriptions and illustrations a lot. Since this book was published almost 40 years ago, there is some language in it that many modern parents may not ...

I don't think I've spent nearly enough time waxing poetic about one of my all-time favorite authors so that's what today's post is all about. Roald Dahl was introduced to me by my best friend roughly 15 years ago. You might know him best as the author of Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, T...

Oh, I love The Twits. When rereading I can still remember how I felt reading this lovely disgusting book when I was a little girl of seven. I knew my mum loved Roald Dahl books, and The Twitswas one of the first ones I read because it's so thin. It's a bit younger than The BFG and Mathilda are, but ...

I would not be the least bit surprised to find out that Mr. Dahl self medicates. This story reads like a bad acid trip. With that said I found it enjoyable enough. Why did I read this? Looking for books to read to children in hopes of being a daddy once again some day. I am not sure why this is on t...

This review is also posted in Thoughts and Pens.Did I ever mention that Roald Dahl had been a favorite author of mine ever since Matilda? If not, then I am telling you now that I am. For the past couple of months, I’ve already published reviews about the two books written by him, The Wonderful Stor...

Not one of my favorites from Dahl. At first I found the Twits’ pranks to be a bit funny but it got old pretty fast. Why would a couple that hates each other as much as they do stay together? Especially when they’re so mean to each other? As you would guess, I didn’t like the Twits at all. They’re mea...

This had to be my favourite book by Roald Dahl. When I was younger I read this over and over again.
