Prior to her work with Marie Claire, she worked as Fashion Director at Elle, and prior to that held positions at both Mirabella and Perry Ellis. Garcia is relied upon as a fashion authority and has participated in numerous television interviews, most recently appearing on The View and The Today Show, among others.

I thought this book would be fun and breezy, like Tim Gunn's books on the same subject. It was not. What it was, instead, was a very long list of accessories, some of which were not fashion (Note to Ms. Garcia: An Ipod is not fashion. A passport is not fashion. I get that you're selling a lifest...

Unless you have serious cash and a perfect body. This book is almost worthless. There are a couple of good points but most of what Nina Garcia wants women to wear is out of their price range.
