5.0 Buffy The Vampire Slayer (picture book)
This was the cutest picture book. It is the perfect way to introduce a child into the world of Buffy and when they are older force them to watch all the episodes. A really slow read. The story was there but it turned and circled until I found myself yawning and dosing off. It did pick up toward the end, maybe the last third of the book. I tried to like this and certainly have read worse, but mostly, I was glad to see the end.

Mindy Nettifee won my heart years ago with her collection Rise of the Trust Fall, and she has yet to disappoint me since. Insightful, lyrical, and straight from the heart Nettifee's verse hits me right between the eyes and in the blood. Filled with several poems written surrounding the 2016 election...
