I went into this book expecting to be scared by it, and expecting to love it. While I was somewhat scared by it, I, unfortunately, didn't like it very much.   I really didn't like Winston very well. He is a weak, lustful, unpleasant character who contemplates murder and rape. I didn't like Julia. Sh...

This book was well written and one of the most engaging books I have read in years. This book is full of exciting twists and I would recommend it to anyone who would listen.

Absolutely brilliant! I don't know why I didn't read this book any early. I was born in 1984 and I've been meaning to read this novel ever since (well, not quite but I guess you get my point). This is probably the best work of dystopia ever written.

"I had won the victory over myself. I finished this book" I am giving this book a 4 not because I loved it, I hated it with a passion, but because it was really good. I hated it for the reasons the author probably intended on purpose. So as much as I'd rather burn the book because of what it did t...
