Yay - thankee Susanna, that's a surpise. A lovely surprise. But the favorite packet contained a handcrafted mohair cowl - haven't taken it off since I ripped into the box.:O)
I am rating this a 3, but I have to say that I was so annoyed with the ending that I almost wanted to rate this a 1. I usually stay away from anything labeled as "chick lit" and unfortunately, much of this book was exactly what I automatically mentally think about when I hear the words "chick lit". ...
Review: I have to say, Nineteen Minutes was a book that had great potential and was ruined by poor execution and scene choice. One of the too-many main characters, Josie Cormier, is a character that the reader doesn’t like at all. The first time the story springs to her point of view, you see she’s ...
Nineteen Minutes is a great read from start to finish. The story about a high school shooting and the people involved was interesting and I liked the way it was told through a series of flashbacks. But, I really enjoyed this book and could hardly put it down. It's about a school shoo...

This story was about bullying that led to a terrible school shooting. It's a terrible, tragic story but it's not at all simple. As alw...
"A single incident of bullying in childhood can be as traumatic to a person, over time, as a single incident of sexual abuse...The common denominator is being humiliated." "If everyone else's opinion is what matters, then do you ever really have one of your own?"Jodi Picoult always goes a little ove...
