Norman Schwenk grew up and was educated in the USA but now lives in Wales, where he moved from Sweden in the 1960s. In Wales he has gone native and taken a bush wife, the author Deborah Kay Davies. Deborah's first collection of stories, Grace Tamar and Laszlo the Beautiful, won the Wales Book of the Year award in 2009. Norman has written and published poetry since the 1950s, and his latest book is Cadillac Temple (2010) a collection of haiku sequences. He is currently working on a book of songs, and trying to find a publisher for a collection of short stories, My Dog Can Talk.
