NYT bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s OBLIVION, a companion novel to the first books in her Lux series told from the POV of the series’ renowned hero, Daemon Black

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.

And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.

But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.

Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen...

3.0 Oblivion
3.5 starsThis book is an alternate point of view of the same story from Obsidian. I liked it, but I don't think there was any new information. If there was, it didn't stand out to me. It does help to know Daemon better since it's his first hand account of the events.

3.0 Oblivion (1.5 Lux) - my review
While this book was enjoyable, it was nowhere near as enthralling as the books from Kat's POV. Her books snatch you unaware with her wit, humour and wonderful personality, sucking you down into the story, next thing you knows it's been 3 hours and you only thought 5 minutes had passed, and your stil...

4.0 The Alien Side of the Story
Oh boy, what a giant arse this boy could be. Rude, cruel, teasing and self-centered, he comes right of of the door and throws the massive muck pile at the human just for being human. All humans can't be bad right ? He has history whispering in his ear, "they're all bad, a danger to his kind" So he'l...

5.0 Oblivion Book Review
Swoon more Daemon Black, yes please. A quick and enjoyable read diving into the Lux series (which is one of my favorite). I adore Daemon in this even more so than I did in Obsidian. Reading this really makes me want to re-read the Lux series and I may have to next year. When the humans move in nex...

4.5 stars. Oh Daemon, so sexy and so grumpy. :) I will quote some stuff from my review of book 1, since that also applies to this one. I will put those in italics, and in quotes so you all know that it is from that other review. This book is all from the POV of Daemon, a hot, but really grumpy guy ...
