I wish this book had diagrams and clearer COLOR pictures. The author did a decent job explaining the physiology and habits of octopuses, but even well-chosen words hardly do justice to the alienness of an octopus.
This rather thin book on octopuses is delivered in an easy-to-read, informal and occasionally juvenile style more suited to a magazine article than a science book, even a popular science book. I'm going to bail out on this thing which I never do. I cannot imagine tackling the remaining 80 pages.
