This time... Odd Thomas met a mystery.   It is not ghosts. Odd knows about ghosts.   The more horrifying thing is that it is not ghosts but humans who were cruel and terrifying violent.    Odd gave help to a pregnant woman, who is very persuasive and talks in riddle.    Now Odd did what he did by wo...

#5 in a series. I (gasp) skipped number 4. I had this and couldn't wait any longer. Odd was calling to me... 4.5 stars rounded down. Not my favorite of the series, but ultimately satisfying. Koontz threw in a little Steampunk (and Scifi), which was fun for me.

Better. The last couple in this series had me worried that the greatness of the first three books would not be seen again. This one was very good.

How apt. I finished Odd Apocalypse on the day the world was supposed to end. I'm glad we didn't all suffer some horrible fate though, because if this book had been the last piece of literature I'd read, I'd have been pissed. This book... what can I say. Almost nothing. Unfortunately all the stuff I d...

I love Odd Thomas and Odd Apocalypse was right up there, turning out to be one of my favorite “Odd” stories. I love Odd’s philosophy and his sense of humor always has me chuckling. If you are thinking of reading Odd Thomas Apocalypse it is best that you start with the first in the series, Odd Thomas...

I've been a fan of every Odd Thomas book, so I'm necessarily biased about this one. I love the way the narrator is so unreliable about his own understanding about himself, and how he takes all sorts of outlandish situations in utter stride. It is Charming all all hell. :)

I've always loved Dean Koontz's writing style - a little loopy, a little humor and a lot horror. I enjoy the "Odd" series and really like Odd Thomas's character. He's a morally upstanding guy who from time to time has to do repugnant things for the good of humanity. Interspersed with the horrific ...

Odd Thomas is a young fry-cook, originally from Pico Mundo, who can see the lingering spirits of dead people and finds his “gift” takes him from one place and situation to the next in order to help those lost souls to their final destination. Initially Roseland, a mansion in the middle of huge and i...

Another example of bad reviews helping me to enjoy a book more. I loved the first book in this series but each book following was good but not as good and then I when this book came out the reviews/ratings were pretty low. The book does start out slow. Odd complains about other people going off o...
