This book was disappointing. You can tell it's one of her earlier novels. Her writing potential is there, but it needed to mature a bit as her later novels suggest. The characterization felt odd to me.

One can def. tell this is an early work of Hannah's...not quite as intense as her later works and somewhat superficial yet a good story and has kept my interest. Good book - not my favorite Kristin Hannah book, but I still devoured it in a few days, and enjoyed it. It was very predictable. But I was in the mood for a romantic book I could just dive in to and this one did the trick. Hannah never disappoints!
Read this quite a few years ago but remember really enjoying it!
