This book was a really sweet "boy next door" story - which I'm a sucker for! I enjoyed reading this, and had it finished within a day or two. Our main character, Charlie, is "one of the guys." Having grown up with 4 older brothers, 3 biological and one her neighbor Braden, she's always knows her ...

I have been a fan of Kasie West from her very first book, and I have enjoyed each and every one. That being said, On the Fence was my most favorite book of hers yet. West took a serious plotline and mixed it with witty dialogue and family bonding. The brothers and Braden ganging up on Charlie were s...

After three books, I've decided that I'm a Kasie West fan, and she's my new 'go-to' author when I need a fun, feel-good book. I read On the Fence in one day, and it was so much fun. Yes it was predictable, but I expected that for this kind of book. It's actually what I wanted. There are just times w...

4.3My second Kasie West book and I liked it even more then the first one! A long time ago, I think in 2000, there was a movie called Love & Basketball, which I really like. It tells a story about a girl - Monica, who in 1981 in L.A., moves in next door to Quincy. They're 11, and both want to play in...

She's a tomboy. He's the boy next door. With three older brothers, Charlotte Reynolds, aka Charlie, has always been more comfortable calling the shots on a basketball court than flirting with the opposite sex. So when her police officer dad demands she get a summer job to pay for the latest in a lon...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a huge fan of contemporaries; I'm a bit picky. However, West's The Distance Between Us has me hooked on any contemporary she writes. Charlie is the very definition of the word tomboy. She's grown up playing sports of all kinds with her three older b...

This book was just what I needed. A light, cute, fun read. Charlie is a tomboy. Growing up in a household with 3 brothers (4 if you include the neighbor boy, Braden) and no mother will do that to you. She loves every sport and plays every sport. There is not a girlie bone in her body. When she's for...

Either I am a hopeless ninny when it comes to ANY mushy love story or this book really is yet another beautiful piece of work by Kasie West! Seriously, I was hoping but NOT expecting it to be as good as the previous one. This time, the girl is completely opposite but so much more interesting to read...

I was a bit worried about the “girl who doesn’t know how to girl” storyline before going into this one, but overall I thought West handled it pretty well. I liked the friends growing into romance storyline, although I did think some of the plot twists were a little unnecessary.

This book is so squeal worthy! A cute, fun, coming of age novel with that added romance that makes fans of Stephanie Perkins, Rainbow Rowell, John Green, and Maureen Johnson dive right in and fall in love. I know I certainly did. Charlie is a tom boy. It's hard not be being raised by three older b...
