Gabriel Márquez was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982.

Looking at other reviews, you'd either love it or just plain hate it. Truly, I cannot see what's so great about it. The title was intriguing and I supposed it was all summed up in the last couple of pages, so if you just can't deal with the whole novel (you'd know after the first 100 pages at most...
