I usually dislike angsty love with separations for no good reason but this one made more sense than the usual book with that theme and the story was told really well and sweetly. I kept thinking that the first woman was the bad guy and kept waiting for the knife or gun but nope, nothing happened.

However, the plot was more complicated and more interesting that I had anticipated, and I really enjoyed it (in a way, knowing the ending impr...

Mary Balogh divide seu livro em várias partes, que vão desenvolvendo a estória de vida de Lily, filha de um mero soldado, que se casa com um Lord in...

Mostly enjoyable, but there are aspects that are really annoying: the easily predictable "lost heiress" subplot, which I personally detest as a plot device, the ridiculous wimpy Duke of Portfrey, who refuses to do anything with his own life until his lost daughter is found, but does nothing to actua...
