There have been a number of Sabrina Jeffries books I've enjoyed, but while this one had many of the elements I like - wit, steam, banter - I felt like it was just going through the motions. There was no chemistry for me with the characters or the story.

The best one of the trilogy, but I quite like them all. More than I did the other two (and longer) series that I read.

Interesting, but the author didn't convince me that I should care about the hero and heroine's difficulties, the plot or their relationship as much as with the first 2 books in this series, both of which I liked a good deal better than this one.
