I've gushed time and time again over how much I loved the first three books of this series. (I found the fourth book kind of unnecessary and even though I've read it as much as the first three I just don't like it as much) I first read them when I was 14 or 15, (many many years ago) and love them an...

So here we are, The Vampire Diaries. Let me tell you people something. THIS BOOK IS AWFUL!!! I can’t begin to understand why this was popular. When it comes to YA novels, there is a formula that goes into the story and brings millions of fans to buy the book and keep coming back for the sequels....

So, I tried to read it before the TV show started and couldn't do. I got bored. I think the show actually made this one easier to read. Normally it ruins books for me, but I needed faces in my mind to get behind these characters. They weren't interesting enough without the background I now have. Alt...

I tried to read this years ago, and just couldn't get into it. I initially started it because (don't judge me) I loved the TV series. But the book seemed way different and Elana was very conceited, therefore I just couldn't continue. (Although I still indulge in the TV series :)

So yeah, the books aren't like the TV series. Some stuff is there, some isn't. Pretty normal really haha.I still like it none the less.If you like vampires & romance, then give it a go.

I started reading this a couple of months ago and did not finish, not even close. I'm not completely sure how far I got but it could not have been more then 70 pages. Honestly, up till this point I had forgotten that I haven't written anything about the experience. Now, The Vampire Diaries is by far...

After reading the first chapter of The Awakening I didn’t have high hopes for this series. Our protagonist seemed like your typical, vapid but popular girl and all I could think was that there had better be some serious character development. There were some intriguing plot hooks right away which ...
