Gorgeous! The art in this series is phenomenal, and the Oz books have been my favorites since childhood. It's the perfect blend of whimsy and color.
Marvelous Land of Oz is one of my favorite of the Oz books, and it would be better if not for how very much General Jinjur's revolt is a product of its time. It's profoundly sexist to modern readers, and was hardly forward thinking at the time. Shanower reads it as Baum clumsily attempting to addres...
Again, the art is fantastic and the story is simple and sweet, but at the same time I can't help but feel that I saw the whole story coming from the beginning... Will continue to read though, because of the awesome artwork.
