Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, has set up a detective agency. When one of his duplicates comes home dying, Madrox has the most important case of his life to solve...Madrox is one of those secondary characters I've always found interesting. For years, people told me I'd dig this detective take on ...

It explains a lot: why he wanted to take over Latveria, how he got involved with the magic arts, and a lot of why he acts as he does. It is not however a flawless telling of his past: it's a little bloated, and while you don't really need six issues to tell this story, it's also not such a proble...

I became acquainted with the "Under the Red Hood" storyline via the animated movie, and it is definitely a very dark part of the Batman history. I have recently embarked on exploring the Batman graphic novels, and decided to give this one a swing. This was very good. This serves as a bit of a preque...

I originally read this incarnation of the series from the Marvel Civil War and it struck me as clever with a good premise then, so I picked it up again and here I am, surprised and pleased that it is Peter David. It's strange how serendipity works. Or maybe it's just the mark of a good writer.

This is the most sympathetic I've ever seen Jason Todd presented as, and it's the most enjoyment I've had reading about him.

This just further proves that Batman is the strongest member of the JLA, hands down. If you think otherwise, you're crazy. He's the only human, yet he's the most prepared for any conflict. And even in the midst of a gigantic mistake made in this one, he still manages to fight to save the day and bri...

This series certainly finished strong. Not that it was really all that necessary, I did enjoy the flashback in the beginning. An attempt to better fill in some backstory involving with Huntress and Batman's absence was appreciated.A lot happens in this fifth and final volume but it never feels rushe...

I remember reading this trade back when it was first published, and enjoying it. Years later, I've become a slightly more critical reader and I've been reading some much better stuff. The end result is that I didn't like it quite as much as I had back then. The plot is not the problem here. The basic...

Before watching Under the Red Hood, I knew very little about Jason Todd. I knew there was a Robin that had died, but being as I was never a big DC fan growing up, I never read about his death or even had much insight on the character. I enjoyed the movie Under the Red Hood, and it prompted me to rea...

If half-stars were allowed, this would definitely be a 1.5.This is yet another installment of one of those endless 1990s DC story arcs. Batman made a boo-boo with secret data. Whatever will the rest of the JLA do? Apparently act like dumb-ass teenagers. "I don't trust you anymore!" "But he was there...
