Pam McAllister is a feminist author, activist, poet, storyteller, and professional musician. She edited the celebrated anthology Reweaving the Web of Life: Feminism and Nonviolence (1982) and wrote two books documenting ways women around the world have used creative nonviolence for social justice causes, You Can't Kill the Spirit and This River of Courage. Her work on women's lives and nonviolence is direct, true, close to my heart, actually -- essential."In addition to writing and lecturing about feminism and nonviolence, McAllister has authored books, essays, and articles about the death penalty, Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, and Sherlock Holmes.
