Cafeteria worker, reporter and ex-sex industry artist, Los Angeles native, Pam Ward's first novel, "Want Some, Get Some," Kensington, was based on L.A.'s original sex-tape. Her second novel, "Bad Girls Burn Slow," examines criminals lurking in the funeral business. UCLA graduate and recipient of a "California Arts Council Fellow," 'New Letters Literary Award' and a "Pushcart Prize' nominee, Pam has published widely including "Voices of Leimert Park," "Caylx" and "The Los Angeles Times." Editing the anthologies, "Picasso's Mistress," "What the Body Remembers" and "Supergirls Handbook," Pam operates a design studio, has taught at Art Center College of Design and runs a community press called Short Dress Press. Merging writing and graphics, Pam produced "My Life, LA: The Los Angeles Legacy Project" documenting the impact of black Angelinos on the land in poster/stories. She recently wrote/produced/directed, "I Didn't Survive Slavery for This!" a performance/media extravaganza examining life 150 post-slavery.
