OK. I give up. I gave it my best shot. I will stop reading this now, maybe pick it up in the future. I've read 4 other books while reading this one. It's time to let go, Michelle, it's time to let go.
This book didn't start off strong. At first the main character, Kira, came off as overly dramatic and not life-like. The more I read this book (it definitely got better after 30% of the way through) the more I began to connect with her and like her. Once I really got into this the pages just seemed ...
And so we come to Partials by Dan Wells, a novel that has been sat on my YA shelf for quite some time – the backlog on that particular to read shelf is long because there is SO much great YA fiction around these days – and Partials is a great addition to all of those. In it we meet Kira, a young girl...
I actually really enjoyed this and will definitely be picking up the next one soon. It was a little long in the middle and I saw a few of the plot twists coming, but I enjoyed the characters and can't wait to get answers to the lingering questions. I liked the narrator for the audiobook.
I’m a geek about the strangest things. Take World-Building for example. Most people I know like a little, enough that they can place the characters, understand the plot and know a few customs/traditions etc. Just “enough”. Me? I like LOTS of world-building. I want to know about laws, buildings, wher...
I really really wanted to like this book. I love the premise of it and the plot arc was great but it never clicked for me. I don't know what it was about the writing style, I never felt like I got into the book. It didn't help that I was entirely apathetic towards all of the characters. I don't know...
Now on: http://www.nobentspines.blogspot.com/First, I have to say, I adore this book. The connections in this book were pretty amazing. I'm going to do something new and I don't know if I'm gonna continue to do this. We'll see.Main Characters:Kira& Marcus (Samm?)JaydenXochiHaru & MadisonTovarThat wa...
There really needs to be a 2.5 star rating. I *kinda* liked it? I wouldn't say I didn't enjoy reading Partials--it wasn't a chore, but it wasn't a book I found myself in a hurry to get back to whenever I had free time. I can't quite figure out why. The plot was interesting, and the characters likeab...
With a scarily realistic dystopian future as its setting, Partials quickly captured my attention. As the stakes became higher and the plot picked up its pace, I found myself completely unable to put Partials down. Add in some (mostly) well fleshed-out characters and Partials was destined for success...
