My interest in writing began in childhood, and I have been writing professionally for almost twenty years. I began as a photojournalist and published over 200 newspaper and magazine articles and photos for various magazines and newspapers. I've authored my own children's books and edited over two hundred trade, children's, and curriculum books for publishers including Zondervan, Thomas Nelson, and Harcourt. I've felt privileged to edit books for authors such as Ann Graham Lotz, Naomi Judd, John Hagee, Charles Swindoll, Bill Gaither, Sheila Walsh, Mary Manz Simon, Sigmund Brouwer, Tammy Trent, and Rick Osborn. I am a past member of the editorial board for "Michigan Learning" and "Wonder Years" magazines. I have also taught grades 1 to 12 in public and private schools. My best achievement is that I contributed to raising three children who have become fascinating adults. My husband, John, and I love to pray and fellowship with friends and family. We also garden, listen to jazz, hike, and golf. My favorite activity is listening and talking to people who love to hear and tell stories, no matter how old or young they are.
