Patricia Hollingsworth, Ed.D., is the Director of University School at The University of Tulsa where she also teaches art and kindergarten writing classes. She has been with the University School, a school for gifted children, since 1982.She is co-author of Smart Art, Kinetic Kaleidoscope, and Active Learning. She has written many articles and chapters in books on teaching art, gifted children, and curriculum. She has served as president of the Oklahoma Association for Gifted, Creative, and Talented, and was on the Board of Directors of the National Association for Gifted Children for over a decade. She helped write and produce the SAILS (Students Active Interdisciplinary Learning Series) Curriculum, which is an art and architecture humanities series of Western civilization. Dr. Hollingsworth has traveled around the world to learn more about art and architecture, as well as to observe a variety of educational settings. She has been to Europe, China, Mexico, VietNam, and Canada to both teach and learn.
