I am glad I read this book, however, if it were anybody but Johnny Cash I would not have finished it. Too syrupy and religious for me. But I learned a lot about the man, his family, his friends, and his beliefs and I think I am better for it.
I gave it a high rating because first of all, it's well written and fun to read. Angela Bowie does describe things to make me feel like I was there. She doesn't short-change Bowie, when she could have just entirely made the book about herself. Also, she does glorify him, something an ex-wife is not ...
