Not much to say about this one. Not a huge fan of poetry and I find it a bit odd that a book of poetry on insects is the one to win the Newberry for this year. I find it hard to believe this was the "most well" written book and meaningful that year.....

2/13/12 ** Absolutely fabulous. I've read this many times, but not for at least 5 years. Every time I read it, I see more layers. Most recently, I read it aloud to my fourth graders - amazed by their insight and empathy, even with just one reading.

This is an interesting book of poetry. I imagine reading the poems aloud with someone would be quite fun. I also like the illustrations of the bugs.
