Named the 2004 Distinguished Scholar by the International Center for Performance Excellence, Paul Schempp is an expert on developing expertise. As a Professor at the University of Georgia, he has spent over a decade conducting award-winning research into the characteristics and development of expertise. The author of six books, over 100 articles, and having delivered more than 200 presentations in 22 countries makes Paul an internationally renowned speaker, scholar, and consultant. He has served as a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Frankfurt (Germany), a visiting professor at the Nanyang Technical University in Singapore, and has delivered lectures at two dozen Universities on three continents. Dr. Schempp's ground-breaking research on expertise has made him a much sought after keynote for professional associations and corporate conferences committed to improving performance. Clients include the American Society for Training and Development, BASF Corp., Buckhead Business Association, Club Corporation of America, Conde Nast Publications, General Electric, National Institute of Education (Singapore), Professional Golf Association of America, Society for Human Resource Management, the Swiss Soccer Federation, Vistage, and USA Track and Field. Applying research to practice, Paul has designed performance programs for the Swedish Golf Federation, English Golf Union and Mexico National Golf teams.
