About the Author:Dr. Paul Sanghera is an researcher/scientist, technologist, entrepreneur, educator/teacher, and author with diverse background and experience in multiple fields including physics, computer science, biomolecular engineering and bioinformatics, and project management . He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Carleton University, Canada; Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University, U.S.; and B.Sc. from India with triple major: physics, chemistry, and math. He has a comprehensive cross-disciplinary, cross-continental diverse experience in research, teaching, and learning. He has taught a wide spectrum of science and technology courses to students ranging from high school to university, to adult learners with varying preparation levels and backgrounds. His teaching experience spans across both public and private sectors. He is the author of several books in science, technology, and project management on diverse topics published by reputed publishers such as Wiley, McGraw-Hill, and Thomson Course Technology/Cengage Learning. While working at world class labs from Cornell to CERN with scientists from Heidelberg University to Harvard University and from University of Cambridge to California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Dr. Sanghera has authored and co-authored about 150 research papers published in European, American, and international research journals. He has made presentations by invitation at several International scientific conferences, and have led various groups within international scientific collaborations such as CLEO at Cornell and OPAL at CERN. Having worked in various fields ranging from information technology to physics and in various roles including director of project management, director of software development, software engineer, corporate trainer, and scientist, he has a broad view of project management. Paul has been at the ground floor of several startups in Silicon Valley, California and elsewhere, and has contributed to the development of state-of-the art technologies such as Novell's NDS, the first computer network management system; Netscape Communicator, the first commercial web browser; and one of the first commercial web storefronts that he co-developed at Weborder Inc. His current research interests involve topics in biomolecular engineering and bioinformatics.
