Paula Hammond began her career as an editor. Since then she's worked as a publisher, educational consultant, copy-writer, ghost-writer, author and journalist. To date, Paula has written over 45 non-fiction books for publishers such as Harper Collins, Marshall Cavendish, Scholastic and World Book. She also writes regular columns and features for a variety of news-stand magazines and journals. Although Paula tends to specialise in science and nature, her passions include everything from cookery to cult TV. When not glued to the keyboard, she can usually be found prowling round second-hand book shops or soaking up the joys of the natural world.
