I have to say that this was a really one of a kind book to get. I bought this last year at the National Book Festival and was intrigued by it once I took a look inside. The graphic art pops and the stories are wonderful. I actually wanted even more information than I got once I got done with this. ...
The art is divine, the stories engaging, the author uses people from Cass's life to narrate each chapter which I thought was very effective, but I wish it covered more ground... I know it doesn't promise that, but it does cut off abruptly.
Bagieu's comics is a fun and relaxing way to spend a weekend (Jo's life is relatable to most young women who face expectations from family, friends, and society).
Really should've figured out the twist by the gigantic spoiler in the summary but I must've forgotten about it because I really thought this had more of a supernatural twist.Eh.
